For Immediate Release
Puzzlers School-Break Week
at the National Museum of Play® March 29–April 7
Celebrate all things puzzles during Puzzlers School-Break Week at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on Friday, March 29 through Sunday, April 7. Become a piece of puzzle history and tackle a challenge worthy of a master puzzler as you sort through thousands of pieces and help assemble one of the world’s largest jigsaw puzzles—“Life, The Greatest Puzzle.”
Created by New Zealand artist Royce B. McClure, designer of more than 100 puzzles, “Life” is composed of 30 different paintings and stretches more than 14 feet long. It includes 24,000 pieces and takes (on average) 400 hours to complete.
Also during school-break week:
- Use a rendering of the massive “Life, The Greatest Puzzle” to play an I Spy game and see what you can find among the balloons, boats, planets, and animals.
- Play puzzle computer games, put together floor puzzles, solve brain teasers, and make your own paper puzzle to take home.
- Check out unusual puzzles—such as one that glows in the dark and a 3-D puzzle of the Statue of Liberty.
And further test your manual dexterity in the LEGO® Travel Adventure exhibit (open only through May 12) by creating your own dream machines capable of flying, driving, and floating, using the greatest building materials of all time–LEGO® bricks!
Puzzlers School-Break Week is presented in partnership with PuzzleWarehouse.com. The St. Louis, Missouri company has one of the largest selections of jigsaw puzzles in the world, for every age and skill level, with jigsaw puzzles ranging from only four pieces to over 32,000 pieces (the largest jigsaw puzzle in the world).
