Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence at a special exhibit—Playful Patriotic—opening June 13 at The Strong National Museum of Play.

Explore American history through the lens of play and view unique artifacts from the museum’s collections, including:
- Silly and whimsical Statue of Liberty toys, showcasing America’s freedom to be funny, including a Statue of Liberty Cabbage Patch doll, rubber duck, and jigsaw puzzle.
- Statue of Liberty-themed souvenirs and products, such as fans, sparklers, lighters, and even a can of fruit cocktail.
- Toys, games, and other playthings that honor American presidents—such dolls of
- George Washington and Abraham Lincoln doll—but also ones that poke satirical fun at them, such as Pez dispensers featuring Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
- Symbols of American pride that people have wanted to showcase, including a license-plate holder featuring an American flag and bald eagle, as well as a Statue of Liberty mask.
