Join us throughout February, as we celebrate Black History Month with renowned theatrical performances, a display of important figures in Black history envisioned as comic book heroes by local artist Shawn Dunwoody, and a museum-wide quest highlighting artifacts related to Black history and play. On February 6, at noon and 2 p.m., witness Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national professional touring theatre company based in Asheville, NC, visiting the museum with their acclaimed shows African Folktales and Freedom Songs.
