Let’s Move! School-Break Week
at the National Museum of Play®
December 21 to January 5
Run, jump, or skip over to the National Museum of Play at The Strong® during Let’s Move! School-Break Week from Saturday, December 21 to Sunday, January 5, 2014. Pick up a Let’s Move! activity guide at the museum’s admission desk and move your way through a variety of physical challenges amid the interactive exhibits.
Go mountaineering on the climbing wall or move to the beat on the DDR in Field of Play, shop for colorful veggies in Wegmans Super Kids Market, and test your balance in American Comic Book Heroes. Also, pick up a Let’s Move! RocKids guide to take home courtesy of the Democrat and Chronicle.
Get moving in the Little Builders exhibit, open only through January 5, 2014. Climb in, out, over, and under the four levels of the Construction Site; transport objects using a hand-operated pulley; move block cargo to a waiting flatbed car using a gantry crane; and build mammoth structures with a variety of materials—including foam Imagination Playground cubes.
Activities are presented in conjunction with the Let’s Move! Museums and Gardens Initiative to fight childhood obesity launched by First Lady Michelle Obama and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Little Builders was created and is toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Portland, Oregon.
Museum Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
General Admission Fees (does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden®): age 2 and older $13.50, under age 2 free, members free.
Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden: General Admission fee plus $3 for members, $4 for nonmembers, under age 2 free. Entry is by timed ticket only.
Parking: Free parking is available at the museum for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that, on high visitation days, the museum lot may reach capacity early in the day. If space is not available on site at the time of your visit, additional parking is available at neighboring municipal garages for a fee. The Strong is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site locations.
