National Toy Hall of Fame® Celebration Weekend
at The Strong® Museum
November 11 & 12

Honor the newly inducted toys to the National Toy Hall of Fame and revel in a weekend of activities featuring past inductees Rubik’s Cube (2014), Radio Flyer wagon (1999), and LEGO (1998) during National Toy Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend at The Strong museum on Saturday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Meet speedcuber Anthony Brooks, and watch as he uses lightning-fast speed to solve Rubik’s Cube (2014 inductee) puzzles and talks about his life as a speedcuber both days at 1 p.m. Brooks holds multiple world records in speedcubing and is a champion of the World Cubing Association competition.

All weekend long, celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Radio Flyer (1999 inductee). Hop on a wagon and dream up a new way to play with the classic toy in the Radio Flyer Play Zone. Challenge friends to sink the most bean bags into the back of the red, iconic wagons. Enjoy a screening of Taking Flight, an Emmy-award-winning short film inspired by the life of Radio Flyer inventor Antonio Pasin.

Join with friends, family, and others in the community to assemble a giant LEGO block display from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. Use the popular building blocks to create a Star Wars-themed display. (Stop back November 18 and 19 to see the final creation during In Another Galaxy Weekend!) Marvel at the Middaugh family’s LEGO block recreation of the famous house from A Christmas Story and learn about the submission process to produce an official LEGO set.

All National Toy Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend activities are included with general museum admission fees. Programs underwritten in part by Delta Air Lines, the official airline of The Strong.
