Be wowed by the magical and inventive skills of the nationally renowned Mario the Maker Magician when he appears at The Strong for two shows only. Mario the Maker Magician—a regular on Sesame Street and NBCUniversal’s Sprout Channel— combines traditional magic with creative inventions evocative of the Maker Movement, from a robotic monkey sideshow to spinning lapel flowers. See why magic icon David Blaine calls Mario the Maker Magician “the best kids’ magician in the world” and former Saturday Night Live comedian Ana Gasteyer says, “Mario is a full-service, hilarious, illusion-making, side-splitting, one-man-band of entertainment value who brings the party wherever he goes.”

Mario Marchese is a New York City-based performer and inventor. His blend of illusions, sleight-of-hand tricks, cutting-edge technology, and comedy creates a unique show that the whole family will enjoy. Mario is a dedicated member of the Maker Movement and a proponent of STEAM initiatives aimed at incorporating math, science, and engineering principles into his performances. He is the recipient of six Editors’ Choice awards and a Best in Class at the World Maker Faire New York.
