The Strong’s annual Play Ball fundraising gala is going virtual! Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Play Ball with Honorary Chair Mary Valentine from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on October 2 to support The Strong’s play-based educational mission. This virtual celebration will include interactive games, one-of-a-kind auction packages, and the world-renowned entertainment that Play Ball is known for—including remote appearances from America’s Got Talent finalists Steven Brundage and Puddles Pity Party.

“This year, after facing unprecedented losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funds raised for The Strong at Play Ball will have more impact than ever before,” says Lisa Feinstein, vice president for institutional advancement. “Play Ball sponsors and donors directly support the museum’s mission and outreach programs that help children, families, and educators in our community. In this very difficult year, The Strong’s services and the educational power of play are more important than ever.”

Virtual Play Ball attendees are encouraged to wear their sequins—or their pajamas! The night features the magic and sleight-of-hand tricks of Steven Brundage and the irreverent humor and silky singing of Puddles Pity Party. Throughout the night, Niki Rudd, Joe Lomonaco, and DJ Naps will keep everyone entertained and energized. The Strong’s auction includes one-of-a-kind experiences and packages, such as virtual wine tastings from Sonoma (with delivered wine and cheese), unique museum experiences, and toy and video game sets. (Anyone can register for the auction.)

General access tickets are $45. Funds raised support the many educational and outreach programs provided by The Strong. Tickets can be purchased at theplayball.org. (A link to the virtual event will be sent to ticket holders on October 2.)
