Man telling a story to kids

Traditions and Storytellers

Celebrate the power of storytelling traditions and various forms of storytelling.

  • Enjoy Stories from the People of the Longhouse presented by Perry Ground (Onondaga, Turtle Clan) Traditional Storyteller and Cultural Educator at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Paychex Theater.
  • Join Queen Mother Almeta Whitis Story Doula for “DRUM BEATS! Oral Memory, Songs, Chants and Dance Traditions of Turtle Island and African Diasporic Peoples” 2 p.m. in the Paychex Theater.
  • Join local children’s Theater performers and play some beginner improv games in the Adams Atrium.
  • Gather your group of traveling storytellers and try out some silly word games in the Adams Atrium!
  • Build your own imaginary world and create your own story with puppets in the Adams Atrium!
