Join The Strong and RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf’s Department of American Sign Language and Interpreter Education Program to celebrate Deaf Awareness Month in a special day of play for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals. The day includes ASL assistance at the admissions desk and free ASL tours of the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden every hour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (General museum admission fees apply.)
ASL interpreters will be provided. Additional accommodations, such as DeafBlind requests, should be made by February 19 to Cathy DeBellis at email@example.com.
Become a champion for play and help make a difference in the lives of the children and families who play, learn, and grow with The Strong.
When children pretend, they’re using their imaginations to move beyond the bounds of reality. A stick can be a magic wand. A sock can be a puppet. A small child can be a superhero.
Visit a highly interactive, collections-based museum devoted to the history and exploration of play.
