Black History Month display with Black Dolls and games

Black History Month Celebration

Join us in honoring the rich heritage, remarkable achievements, and enduring contributions of Black individuals throughout history. Reflect, educate, and celebrate the profound impact of Black culture on the world. Enjoy hands-on activities, performances, museum displays, and more! 

  • Join Queen Mother Almeta Whitis, for a story performance filled with dancing, singing, and celebration!  

Paychex Theater 

  • Learn about Super Soaker inventor Dr. Lonnie Johnson’s impact on play by using a product he worked on, the Nerf Blaster. 

Storybook Theater 

  • Write your own poetry inspired by poems written by the likes of Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, and Phillis Wheatley. 

Adams Atrium 

  • Become a mathematician like Katherine Johnson and learn how math can be fun with a variety of activities!
