Artist at Play Workshops: Fairy Houses

Join local artist Destiney Schultz* for a beginner fairy house workshop in The Strong’s Play Lab. Learn techniques to create your own fairy house using an assortment of natural materials! Two sessions are available: 1:30 to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for members and $29 for members. (Non-member ticket prices include general admission for the full day.) This workshop is for children and adults, 6 years old and up. A parent or guardian must accompany children under 16 and must also purchase a ticket to the program.

*Destiney Schultz is a Rochester-based fairy house builder who has been creating fairy houses since 2012. She has won numerous awards through the Artpark Fairy Festival in Lewiston, NY, and the Fairy House Tour at the Corn Hill Arts Festival in Rochester. Many of her houses have gone on to be featured at The Strong National Museum of Play and local community libraries. She has worked with a variety of materials and has a passion for introducing people to this art form. You can find her work on Instagram at fairy_houses_by_destiney.
