Explore all things stinky, crusty, and slimy at Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body, which opens on the museum’s first floor on January 17. Based on the best-selling book Grossology, the exhibit uses sophisticated animatronics and imaginative interactives to tell you the good, the bad, and the downright ugly about runny noses, body odor and much more.

- Visit the “Vomit Center” to learn the process of vomiting.
- Stop by the “Toot Toot” area to create different sounds that replicate the physics of gas.
- Mimic the buildup of acid indigestion by causing the “Burp Machine” to release a giant belch.
- Explore the role of the kidneys in Urine: The Game.
- Climb a large-scale replica of human skin and discover other mysterious ways your body’s biology does what it does to keep you healthy.
Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body remains on view through May 3.
