Celebrate Diwali at this special workshop presented by Kulture Khazana. Guests will be able to listen to a special Diwali story time, learn traditional Bollywood dance steps, and create a rangoli design with sand or paint. Rangoli stands for good luck, hope and beauty. It is a traditional floor art from India, Nepal, and Bangladesh, which is created on the floor using colored sand, rice, paints, or flowers. A Mandala means circle in Sanskrit. They represent unity, harmony, and the universe.
This workshop is recommended for children 4 years old and up. Children under 4 may be able to enjoy the workshop with adult assistance. A parent or guardian must accompany children under 16 and must also register for the program. Admission is limited and requires pre-registration.
