Person creating Rangoli Mandala Sand Art

Artist at Play Workshop: Diwali DIY! Rangoli Mandalas

Celebrate Diwali at this special workshop presented by Kulture Khazana. Guests will be able to listen to a special Diwali story time, learn traditional Bollywood dance steps, and create a rangoli design with sand or paint. Rangoli stands for good luck, hope and beauty. It is a traditional floor art from India, Nepal, and Bangladesh, which is created on the floor using colored sand, rice, paints, or flowers. A Mandala means circle in Sanskrit. They represent unity, harmony, and the universe.
