Guest RestI am going to visit The Strong National Museum of Play. There are so many things to see, do, and play with. There are also lots of people and noise.
If I feel overwhelmed, tired, or need privacy, a Guest Rest is a good place for me to visit. Guest Rest stations are quiet, private areas at the museum.
My adult can help me find a Guest Rest. There are three throughout the museum, in or near the Adams Atrium; Toy Halls of Fame exhibit; and the Age of Empires exhibit.
If a Guest rest is being used by someone, I can wait outside until they finish, or I can find a different one.
When I find a vacant room, I can go inside and sit down. To let other guests know that the room is in use, I can flip the slider on the door from vacant to occupied.
Once inside, I am welcome to lock the doors and adjust the lighting levels within the room. There will also be places for me to sit and fidget toys for me to use.
When I’m done, I will put the toys away and tidy the room before leaving. I will flip the slider back to vacant so other guests know it’s open again.
The Guest Rest helps me feel better so I can enjoy the activities and exhibits!
