Toddler Book Club and Monday Kicks for Ages 2 to 6
Winter 2013 Schedules at the National Museum of Play®

TODDLER BOOK CLUB

Join the Toddler Book Club at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on selected Mondays at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. Parents and toddlers will enjoy readings of award-winning books, and then join in related music or movement activities. The Toddler Book Club winter schedule follows:

Mondays, January 7, 14 & 28—Nursery Rhymes. Enjoy beloved childhood poems such as Old Mother Hubbard and Her Wonderful Dog and Mary Had a Little Lamb.

Mondays, February 4, 11 & 25—Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Vroom! Get your motor running with stories about things that go, such as Truck Song and On the Go. In conjunction with the LEGO® Travel Adventure exhibit opening January 19, 2013 at the National Museum of Play.

Mondays, March 4, 11, 18 & 25—Once Upon a Time. Step into a world of
make-believe with stories such as The Paper Bag Princess and Prince Peter and the Teddy Bear.

 All Toddler Book Club programs are included with general museum admission fees.

MONDAY KICKS FOR AGES 2 TO 6

Join in playful learning activities with your child at the Monday Kicks for Ages 2 to 6 series at the National Museum of Play at The Strong. Designed by museum educators, this series helps parents teach little ones important skills through play. Programs take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. one Monday a month. Upcoming programs include:

Monday, January 14—Mother Goose. Meet Mother Goose and enjoy
nursery-rhyme-themed activities.

Monday, February 4—Things that Go. Explore the LEGO® Travel Adventure exhibit, take part in singing and movement travel-themed activities, and build your own amazing LEGO brick vehicle.

Monday, March 4—Fairy-Tale Fantasy. Be enchanted by fairy-tale activities fit for
a queen and king.

Monday Kicks programs are included with general museum admission fees.

Museum Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; 
Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

General Admission Fees (does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden®): age 2 and older $13, under age 2 free, members free.

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden: General Admission fee plus $3 for members, $4 for nonmembers, under age 2 free. Entry is by timed ticket only.

Parking:  Free parking is available at the museum for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that, on high visitation days, the museum lot may reach capacity early in the day. If space is not available on site at the time of your visit, additional parking is available at neighboring municipal garages for a fee. The Strong is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site locations.
