at The Strong Museum
November 11

Enjoy a preview of two magical holiday favorites with Get Ready for The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol at The Strong® museum on Wednesday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Delight in storytelling, dance, and theater performances by members of the Rochester City Ballet and Geva Theatre Center.

Enjoy an excerpt from The Nutcracker performed by costumed dancers from Rochester City Ballet at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (The Nutcracker is presented in conjunction with upcoming performances of the beloved Tchaikovsky ballet, brought to life by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rochester City Ballet on November 25 through 29 at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.)

A costumed cast member from Geva Theatre Center’s production of A Christmas Carol will read selections from the Charles Dickens classic about a man rediscovering the true spirit of the holiday season at noon and 2 p.m. (The appearance is presented in conjunction with upcoming performances of A Christmas Carol at Geva Theatre Center, November 25 through December 27.)

All performances are included with general museum admission fees.

Museum Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

General Admission Fees (does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden®): age 2 and older $13.50, under age 2 free, members free. (Note: After November 1, general admission fees change to $14.)

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden: General Admission fee plus $3 for members, $4 for nonmembers, under age 2 free. Entry is by timed ticket only.

Parking: Free parking is available at the museum for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis during regular museum hours. Please note that, on high visitation days, the museum lot may reach capacity early in the day. If space is not available on site at the time of your visit, additional parking is available at neighboring municipal garages for a fee. The Strong is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site locations.
