For Immediate Release
Literature Live Weekends Continue at the
National Museum of Play® at The Strong®
Literary characters jump off the pages of your favorite books at Literature Live, an ongoing weekend series at The National Museum of Play at The Strong. The series pairs storybook character appearances with story readings.
Designed by The Strong’s educators to instill a love of reading in young children, each Literature Live weekend offers the opportunity to meet, greet, and pose for photos with some of the most popular storybook characters of all time and enjoy related story readings.
Upcoming Literature Live character meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Related story readings take place Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.
On the Literature Live weekend schedule:
April 2 & 3: Lilly, author Kevin Henkes’ mouse with the purple purse.
April 30 & May 1: Little Critter, author Mercer Meyer’s lovable monster.
May 14 & 15: Froggy, author Jonathan London’s adorable amphibian.
May 28 & 29: Maisy, author Lucy Cousins’ colorful little mouse.
June 4 & 5: Madeline, author Ludwig Bemelmans’ mischievous red-headed school girl.
