The Strong Museum Announces
January Events for Families:
Frozen Adventures, Day of Compassion,
and Pirate Party

This January, join The Strong for socially distant and family friendly events celebrating the winter season, the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., and all things pirates:

Frozen Adventures
January 9 & 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Skate, sled, or snowshoe into The Strong for Frozen Adventures and meet the popular Ice Queen and Ice Princess on Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. (All meet-and-greets will avoid physical contact and follow the museum’s COVID safety protocols.) All day long, make a wintry magic wand.

Day of Compassion
January 18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with activities focused on treating people with compassion. Meet Corduroy Bear, listen to story readings at 1 p.m., and design a socially distanced “hug” craft for a loved one.

Pirate Party
January 23 & 24, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Arrr! Celebrate all things pirates and enjoy performances by the Happy Pirates in the Adams Atrium at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Make an eye patch, design a treasure chest, and solve Pirate Pat’s mystery.
