Classic Toys School Break
at The Strong® Museum
December 21–January 5

Take a trip through time with classic toys popular from different eras during Classic Toys School Break at The Strong museum from Saturday, December 21, 2019 through Sunday, January 5, 2020. Play with toys that have stood the test of time, discover classic playthings in the museum’s exhibit spaces, and more.

Classic Toys School Break

Check out colorful patterns of tin kaleidoscopes and pretend to ring a friend on the Fisher-Price Chatter Phone. Set spinnable tops into motion and share a story with a sock monkey. Be sure to visit The Strong’s Toy Halls of Fame exhibit to view other classic toys inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame, including Fisher-Price Little People, Easy-Bake Oven, Twister, and more. 

Classic Toys School Break is included with general museum admission fees. In-kind support provided by Schylling Inc. Public programs underwritten in part by Delta Air Lines, the official airline of The Strong.

Museum Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. The museum closes at 4 p.m. on December 24 and 31. The museum is closed on December 25. The museum opens at noon on January 1.

General Admission Fees (does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden®): age 2 and older $16, under age 2 free, members free. Fees subject to change.

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden: General Admission fee plus $4 for members, $5 for nonmembers, under age 2 free. Fees subject to change.

Parking: Limited parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the museum’s parking garage. Parking in the garage is free through January, 2020. The garage can be accessed from Howell Street on the south side of the museum. Please note that, on high visitation days, the museum lot may reach capacity early in the day. If space is not available on site at the time of your visit, additional parking is available at neighboring municipal garages for a fee. The Strong is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site locations.
