Marvel at giant sculptures of heroes and villains made entirely out of food during Canstruction at The Strong museum from Saturday, November 9 through Saturday, November 23.

CanstructionCanstruction is an international charity competition that challenges architects, engineers, contractors, and students to design and build large-scale structures made from canned food. To date, Canstruction Rochester has donated more than 370,000 pounds of food to Foodlink.

“More than 145,000 people, including approximately 48,000 children, in our region are considered food insecure,” says Amy Olds, director of marketing at Buckingham Properties, which presents the display. “Canstruction Rochester is such a special event because it allows the design and construction community to give back to our community in a very significant way, just in time for the holiday season. Buckingham Properties is proud to once again partner with The Strong to host the display, which allows thousands of people to view our one-of-a-kind giant food sculptures while drawing attention to a very important cause for our community.”

Canstruction is included with general museum admission fees.
