Dino Days School-Break Week
at The Strong© Museum
December 26 through January 2
Roar in for Dino Days School-Break Week at The Strong museum from Monday, December 26, 2016 to Monday, January 2, 2017. Create unique crafts and explore dinosaur displays and exhibits.
Pose for pictures with Fidelisaurus, the mascot of Fidelis Care, on December 27 through December 30. All week long, design and build your own KitRex Dino Head, a puppet craft created from a paper puzzle. Check out the Big, Scary, and Extinct display and view artifacts that uncover why dinosaurs fascinate children and inspire their play.
Then journey to the time when dinosaurs roamed the land in the Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and IceTM exhibit. Get up close with touchable dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes—including a Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops! Travel through three rugged landscapes to learn about dinosaur habitats and investigate the clues these mysterious creatures left behind. Crawl through a smoldering volcano, climb into a squishy bog, slide into an icy cave, learn about the dinosaur food chain, and grab tools to dig up dinosaur fossils.
Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and IceTM is produced by Minnesota Children’s Museum and sponsored by Fidelis Care. It remains on view through January 8, 2017. The exhibit and school break activities are included with general museum admission fees.
Programs underwritten in part by Delta Air Lines, the official airline of The Strong.
