The Strong is pleased to announce that its Board of Trustees has voted to elevate the Play Makers Leadership Council—a volunteer group of inclusive museum ambassadors and young professionals launched in 2016—to be an associate board of the museum. In this role, the Play Makers Leadership Council serve as advocates for The Strong and the power of play, organize and plan events to support The Strong’s strategic mission, and participate in current and future campaigns for The Strong.
“The Play Makers Leadership Council members have been valuable advocates and advisers to The Strong and have taken a lead role in many activities, including the museum’s Happiest Hour fundraisers,” says Steve Dubnik, president and CEO of The Strong. “This honor of being elevated to an associate board recognizes their contributions to The Strong and their assistance in helping the museum to fulfill its mission.”
