Making American Music
This evening concert series for adults takes place at the National Museum of Play® from September through May. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the theater. Light refreshments are available during intermission. The museum’s facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Full series tickets (for all 8 concerts): member $88, senior or student $96, nonmember $112
Mini-series tickets (for 4 to 6 concerts): member $13*, senior or student $14*, nonmember $16*
Single tickets: member $16, senior or student $17, nonmember $19
*per concert cost; must be age 62 or older to qualify for senior rate

Bill Gray’s Restaurant in the Skyliner Diner is open from 5–7 p.m. on concert evenings should you wish to dine there before the show.

7:30 p.m.Nostalgic Reunion Jazz Ensemble
Celebrate music with New York roots—from selections by jazz giants Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, and Chuck Mangione to showtunes by Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer. Sit back and revel in the musical empire built in the Empire State with songs such as "Four," "Ballavia," "Summertime," "I Could Have Danced All Night," and more. Tickets: $19 nonmember, $16 member.

Making American Music: 1940s Radio Show
7:30 p.m.Sarah Peters and Friends
Celebrate the can-do attitude, faith, and perseverence of the American people during World War II. Performed in the style of a 1940's weekly radio broadcast, this show features skits, "commercials," and popular patriotic songs including "The Star Spangled Banner" and timeless tunes such as "Huggin' and a Chalkin'" and "Deep Purple." Tickets: $19 nonmember, $16 member.
