Brains in Motion Weekend
at The Strong® Museum
March 18 & 19

Exercise your mind during Brains in Motion Weekend at The Strong museum on Saturday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. Watch a kinetic sculpture detonate, try your hand at building a chain-reaction device, and more.

Back by popular demand, local kinetic art builder StickTrickDonimoDude Michael Fantauzzo returns to create masterpieces filled with simple machines such as levers, planes, and pulleys. Watch as he builds his intricate sculpture and detonates them at 3:30 p.m. daily. (As one of 15 participants, Fantauzzo worked on the Incredible Science Machine at Michigan Science Center in 2015, marking a North American record by toppling more than 200,000 dominoes.)

All weekend long, build a chain-reaction device with materials, including stacking cups, balls, ramps, and dominoes. Marvel at intricate devices built by Rochester LEGO User’s Group and check out toys designed and built by students from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

All Brains in Motion Weekend activities are included with general museum admission fees. Programs underwritten in part by Delta Air Lines, the official airline of The Strong.
