National Toy Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend
at The Strong

November 7 & 8

Honor the newly inducted toys and revel in a weekend of activities featuring bubbles (2014 inductee), little green army men (2014 inductee), and Easy-Bake Oven (2006 inductee) during National Toy Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend at The Strong® museum on November 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 8 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Delight in whimsical performances by bubble master Doug Rougeux on Saturday at 11 a.m., and 1 and 3 p.m., as well as Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. Rougeux’s performances include giant bubbles, twelve-foot bubble tubes, and more!

Enjoy a musical treat as Colleen Bernstein, a versatile musician dedicated to arts education; Eastman School of Music students and faculty; and other local musicians present “Toy Suite” at 2:30 p.m. both days. These concerts feature original compositions inspired by National Toy Hall of Fame toys. After each performance, museum guests have a unique opportunity to interact with the composers and performers to learn about the stories behind each song.

Watch members of The Strong staff show off their culinary skills with Easy-Bake Oven cooking demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Guest chefs will whip up a mix of classic and contemporary recipes.

Design a parachute for a little green army man and see how well it soars. Then explore the new, cutting-edge Toy Halls of Fame exhibit and learn about more toys beloved by generations. Displays featuring The Strong’s National Toy Hall of Fame inductees pair with displays featuring toy industry luminaries recognized by the Toy Industry Association's Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

All National Toy Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend activities are included with general museum admission fees.
