LEGO® Castle Adventure
Opening Weekend Celebration
at The Strong Museum
October 4 & 5
Be a knight. Be a princess. Become a master craftsman during the Opening Weekend Celebration of LEGO® Castle Adventure at The Strong museum on Saturday, October 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. The exhibit invites children and families to explore a majestic LEGO kingdom where they can build a castle fit for a king and queen using one of the greatest building materials of all time—LEGO® bricks.
During opening weekend, marvel at an amazing building-brick display (big enough to fill a room!) featuring towering skyscrapers and winding train tracks created by the LEGO Users of Central New York. Create a paper figure head to wear or a paper brick to take home.
On Saturday only, enjoy special performances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. by Dangerous Signs—a poetry group from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. The group will weave a tale of chivalry and adventure through a blend of American Sign Language, spoken words, music, and dance.
Then learn about life in the Middle Ages as you explore the LEGO Castle Adventure exhibit, where you can visit the royal castle, sit upon the king and queen’s thrones, explore the treasure room, test your knightly skills on the jousting field, examine how real castles were built and then construct your own, test the strength of a virtual castle with a catapult, and more.
All opening weekend events are included with general museum admission fees.
LEGO Castle Adventure remains on view through February 1. The exhibit was created by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in conjunction with LEGO Systems, Inc.
