Cinderella Weekend
at The Strong Museum
September 27 & 28

Step into a world of enchantment during Cinderella Weekend at The Strong® museum on Saturday, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, September 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. Wear your most exquisite princess gown and pose for pictures with Cinderella.

Learn proper manners and courtly etiquette from Cinderella’s evil stepmother and ugly stepsisters. The ugly stepsisters are played by dancers who performed in Rochester City Ballet's spring showing of Cinderella.

Visit with award-winning artist and illustrator Nancy Wiley and view original works of art from her new book—Cinderella, or the Little Glass Slipper. Wiley creates unique photo illustrations that are inspired by fine art, mythology, and fairy tales to recreate classic stories.

Learn about Wiley’s creative process and view her unique doll-making molds and hand-painted dolls in various stages of completion. Wiley's creations include whimsical doll figures made of paper, clay or porcelain; figurative sculpture; mixed media pieces; and paintings.

Snap a photo in the magical pumpkin carriage, view Cinderella artifacts in Game Time!, and explore Cinderella story adaptations in Reading Adventureland.

All Cinderella Weekend activities are included with general museum admission fees.
