Halloween Treats at the National Museum of Play®
 

Saturday & Sunday
October 26 & 27:
Meet Bunnicula

Just in time for Halloween, meet Bunnicula, the vampire bunny, during Literature Live at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. The continuing series invites guests to meet, greet, and pose for photos with beloved literary characters as they leap out of the pages of favorite storybooks.

Mark your calendars for the remaining 2013 Literature Live Weekends:

  • November 23 & 24: Meet Brother Bear from the Berenstain Bears books.
  • December 7 & 8: Meet Frosty the Snowman from the popular song.

All Literature Live programs are included with general admission fees.

 

Thursday, October 31: Toddler Trick-or-Treat

Calling all pint-sized witches, princesses, and superheroes! Wear a spooky or creative costume and enjoy safe, indoor trick-or-treating during Toddler Trick-or-Treat at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on Thursday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trick-or-treat for prizes such as Crayons, temporary tattoos, and golden coins with favorite storybook characters, including Cinderella, Tinkerbell, Little Red Riding Hood, a pirate, and more. Join in the Monster Mash and Halloween-inspired dances at the Boogie-Woogie Bash, play ghostly party games, and make a scary craft. Check out the books in the Spooky Story Station and collect a healthy treat courtesy of Wegmans Food Markets, Inc on your way out.

Enjoy live musical performances at 11 a.m. and noon by the all-female a capella group, the Princeton University Tigressions

Toddler Trick-or-Treat activities are included with general museum admission fees.

Museum Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

General Admission Fees (does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden®): age 2 and older $13, under age 2 free, members free. (As of November 1, general museum admission: $13.50)

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden: General Admission fee plus $3 for members, $4 for nonmembers, under age 2 free. Entry is by timed ticket only.

Parking: Free parking is available at the museum for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that, on high visitation days, the museum lot may reach capacity early in the day. If space is not available on site at the time of your visit, additional parking is available at neighboring municipal garages for a fee. The Strong is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site locations.
