Travel-tastic February School-Break Week at the
National Museum of Play® February 16–24
Celebrate things that go “vroom” during Travel-tastic February School-Break Week Saturday, February 16 through Sunday, February 24 in conjunction with the new exhibit LEGO® Travel Adventure at the National Museum of Play at The Strong®.
On the weekend schedule:
- See a full-size off-road baja vehicle constructed by Rochester Institute of Technology students and learn more about their all-terrain races.
- Check out a display of transportation artifacts from The Strong’s collections, including a vintage four-person bicycle and a precursor to today’s inflatable inner tubes.
- Stop by the Play Zone to play with trucks, trains, planes, and more.
- Check out the LEGO® Travel Adventure exhibit and create your own dream machines capable of flying, driving, and floating, using the greatest building materials of all time–LEGO® bricks! In LEGO Travel Adventure, kids can pretend to fly above the clouds in a Travel Adventure Vehicle or hit the road in a child-sized race car made entirely out of LEGO® DUPLO® bricks. Building stations brimming with LEGO bricks and LEGO DUPLO bricks, car bodies, tracks, and other accessories invite kids and families to invent their own vehicles. Marvel at sculptures by LEGO Master Builders, pose for family pictures among colorful destination backdrops, build a virtual LEGO brick vehicle, and much more!
