Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

The museum is open 363 days a year.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  

General Admission

(does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden)

Adults (age 16 and over):	$11
Seniors (age 62 and over):	$10
Children (ages 2 to 15):	$9
Children under age 2:	FREE

Children under 16 must be accompanied by
an adult age 18 or older.

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden

General admission fee plus $3 per person for nonmembers; $1.50 per person for members; free for children younger than 2. Due to limited capacity, entry to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is by timed ticket only. Advance purchase is recommended.

Active-Duty Military Discount

The museum offers a $2 discount on general admission fees for Active-Duty Military personnel (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy) and their immediate family members who present appropriate and valid identification.

ACM Reciprocal Admission Policy

Through our participation in the Association of Children's Museums' (ACM's) Reciprocal Admission Program, Strong National Museum of Play provides free general admission to guests who present a valid membership card with the ACM sticker AND a photo ID showing that they reside outside the Greater Rochester area.

Strong is not able to honor ACM membership cards that Greater Rochester residents hold from museums outside the area. The only exceptions are Greater Rochester residents who have the ACM reciprocal admission benefit through their membership with the Sciencenter in Ithaca, New York, or the Explore & More Children’s Museum in East Aurora, New York.
