Search Tips

Quotation Marks—Enclosing a multiword phrase in quotation marks tells the search engine to list only sites that contain those words in that exact order.

The following must appear in ALL CAPS and with a space on each side.

AND—Indicates that the records found must contain all the words joined by the AND operator. For example, to find objects that contain the words wizard, oz, and movie, enter wizard AND oz AND movie.

OR—Records found must contain at least one of the words joined by OR. For example, to find objects that contain the word dog or the word puppy, enter dog OR puppy.

AND NOT—Indicates that the records found cannot contain the word that follows the term AND NOT. For example, to find objects that contain the word pets but not the word dogs, enter pets AND NOT dogs.

Batman Electronic Question and Answer Quizz Machine

board game

The Lisbeth Whiting Company produced officially licenced and non-licensed games and toys related to movies and television during the 1960s era. Later the firm moved toward craft kits, especially knitting sets. In the late 1960s the firm produced an electric (battery operated) question and answer game based on the very popular television series "Batman," which itself was based on the DC comic books. The successful and, some believe, iconic television series breathed new life into DC's then-unpopular Batman comic character, although the comic became much darker after the series was cancelled. Batman fans felt the series, a parody of comics in general, treated the characters too lightly. Regardless, the Whiting questiojn game demonstrates the popularity of the series at that time.
