Search Tips

Quotation Marks—Enclosing a multiword phrase in quotation marks tells the search engine to list only sites that contain those words in that exact order.

The following must appear in ALL CAPS and with a space on each side.

AND—Indicates that the records found must contain all the words joined by the AND operator. For example, to find objects that contain the words wizard, oz, and movie, enter wizard AND oz AND movie.

OR—Records found must contain at least one of the words joined by OR. For example, to find objects that contain the word dog or the word puppy, enter dog OR puppy.

AND NOT—Indicates that the records found cannot contain the word that follows the term AND NOT. For example, to find objects that contain the word pets but not the word dogs, enter pets AND NOT dogs.

Lite-Brite Lite Loops Picture Refill Set

play set

The Lite Brite play set toy evolved from the minds of toy creators Marvin Glass, Henry Stan, and Burt Meyer when they encountered a New York window display composed of hundreds of colored lights. The window inspired the three to muse on ways to simplify the concept, reducing the electrical component to a single light source—a 25-watt incandescent bulb. Their design placed a perforated plastic panel in front of the bulb and covered the panel with a sheet of black paper. When colored translucent plastic pegs were inserted through the paper, they created an illuminated picture. Through the years, Lite-Brite has changed its format and technology. The first Lite-Brite designs required electrical power; more recent models use battery power. Lite-Brites got big in 2004 with the Lite-Brite Illuminart Easel and small with handheld Lite-Brites for travel. Regardless of technology or format, the toy has remained popular for nearly 50 years.
