Recent America: Culture, Politics, and Economics at the End of the of the 20th Century
In the last three decades of the 20th century, Americans witnessed and helped bring about political, cultural, and economic transformations, including a resurgence of political conservatism, revolutions in computers and mass communications, hip consumerism, de-industrialization, and an energy crisis. The 24th Annual Advanced Placement American History Conference explores these topics and others, challenging students to think critically and engage in in-depth discussions. Insightful seminars offered by local college and university professors illuminate the cultural, political, and economic history of the United States at the end of the 20th century.
