College Programs

The National Museum of Play® makes it easy for college-level students to learn about the power and importance of play in the lives of children. Designed specifically to complement education and psychology courses, these activities turn college students into active researchers. Unguided experiences are $10.50 per student; experiences guided by museum staff are $13.50 per student; college instructors are free.

Learning experiences

Using the museum as their lab, students engage in observation and analysis of important play concepts. Working in groups of five or more, students can choose (or be assigned) one of 9 self-guided topic activities. Each activity comes with a single-sheet guide that includes an introduction to a specific topic, suggested tasks, and guiding questions. Additional topics may be selected at $3 per student.
