Commemorates Exhibit Closing
with Two Screenings of the Judy Garland Classic
Only a few weeks remain to journey along with Dorothy and friends from the sepia-colored Gale Farm to the colorful Land of Oz at the National Museum of Play at The Strong. The Wizard of Oz exhibit remains on view only through Sunday, May 13.
Based on the beloved movie classic, the exhibit invites you over the rainbow to explore the Gale Farm, Munchkinland, the Crossroads, the Witch’s Castle, and Emerald City. Along the way, visit Professor Marvel’s wagon, create your own tornado in Dorothy’s bedroom, and meet Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and Tin Man.
Once you’ve seen the exhibit—why not experience the film? To commemorate the closing of The Wizard of Oz exhibit, the Dryden Theatre at George Eastman House presents two screenings of the original Judy Garland film classic on Friday, May 11 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 13 at 2 p.m. Show your National Museum of Play museum admission receipt at the Dryden Theatre box office and receive $1 off of each movie ticket. (Regular Dryden Theatre admission: $8 general, $6 students.)
And if you attend the classic movie screening at the Dryden Theatre you are invited to tap your heels and travel to The Strong for a special discount at the museum shops at the National Museum of Play. Present your Wizard of Oz Dryden Theatre movie stub to the National Museum of Play museum shops by May 31 and receive a 10% discount on all museum shops merchandise, including The Wizard of Oz merchandise. (This offer cannot be combined with any other offer.)
