Spring 2013 Schedules
at the National Museum of Play®

 

Note to Calendar Editors: March 26—Terrific Tots Tuesday, Special One-Day BOGO Museum Admission. Shake off those winter blahs! Enjoy buy one get one general museum admission to the National Museum of Play the entire day on Tuesday, March 26.

Toddler Book Club

Join the Toddler Book Club at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on selected Mondays at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. Parents and toddlers will enjoy readings of award-winning books led by museum hosts. The Toddler Book Club spring schedule follows:

Mondays, April 8, 15, 22 & 29—Dragons and Friends. Be whisked away to fantastic lands with tales such as When a Dragon Moves In and There’s No Such Thing as a Dragon.

Mondays, May 6, 13 & 20—Color Me Happy. Celebrate all the colors of the rainbow with stories such as Mouse Paint and All the Colors of the Earth.

Mondays, June 3 & 10—Garden Stories. Mark the changing seasons with tales about things that grow such as In My Garden and The Apple Pie Tree.

All Toddler Book Club programs are included with general museum admission fees.

 

Monday Kicks for Ages 2 to 6

Join in playful learning activities with your child at the Monday Kicks for Ages 2 to 6 series at the National Museum of Play at The Strong. Designed by museum educators,

this series helps parents teach little ones important skills through play. Programs take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. one Monday a month. Upcoming programs include:

Monday, April 8—Wizards and Dragons. Step into a world of fantasy, enjoy story readings, and explore the Wizard’s Workshop.

Monday, May 6—Color My World. Create colorful crafts and sing and move along with teaching artist Missy Reed.

Monday, June 3—Gardens Galore. Celebrate the coming of summer with
garden-inspired stories and crafts.

Monday Kicks programs are included with general museum admission fees.

Museum Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

General Admission Fees (does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden®): age 2 and older $13, under age 2 free, members free.

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden: General Admission fee plus $3 for members, $4 for nonmembers, under age 2 free. Entry is by timed ticket only.

Parking:  Free parking is available at the museum for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that, on high visitation days, the museum lot may reach capacity early in the day. If space is not available on site at the time of your visit, additional parking is available at neighboring municipal garages for a fee. The Strong is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site locations.
