Build, Build, Build! School-Break Week at the National Museum of Play® February 19–27

Enjoy opportunities to build—in a BIG way!—in conjunction with the TINKERTOY®: Build Your Imagination™ exhibit during Build, Build, Build! School-Break Week at the National Museum of Play at the Strong, February 19 through 27. See what oversized, imaginative constructions you can concoct with giant BuilderBLOX, a revolutionary, large-scale building system designed by engineers, architects, and educators to empower children to build BIG structures. And create robots, spaceships, boats, and more with ZOOBS and Magformers.

Also, enjoy selections from the popular children’s musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang performed by students of Greece Athena Middle School on Friday, February 25 at 11 a.m. The musical follows wacky inventor Caractacus Potts and his magical car. The full-length version will be performed at Greece Athena Middle School March 4, 5, 11, and 12.

Enjoy additional opportunities to invent and build in the new TINKERTOY: Build Your Imagination exhibit. Giant replicas of the classic wooden construction set form a colorful backdrop for nine unique activity stations that explore contemporary topics such as renewable energy and clean water technology. The exhibit remains on view at the National Museum of Play through May 29.

(Note: To accommodate families during the busy February school-break week, when the museum parking lot may become full, the museum will make available a special shuttle service to and from the East End garage that will run continuously from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, February 21 through Thursday, February 24 and from 11 a.m. to
8 p.m. on Friday, February 25. The museum is not responsible for fees incurred at off-site parking facilities.)
