November 11 (Veterans Day): Get Ready for The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol

Enjoy a preview of two magical holiday favorites with Get Ready for The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on Monday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day of storytelling, dance, and theater features performers from Rochester City Ballet and Geva Theatre Center.

Check out an excerpt from The Nutcracker performed by costumed dancers from Rochester City Ballet at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The dance excerpt is presented in conjunction with six upcoming performances of Tchaikovsky's beloved ballet, brought to life by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rochester City Ballet at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre from Friday,
November 29 to Sunday, December 1.

A costumed cast member from Geva Theatre Center’s production of A Christmas Carol will read selections from the Charles Dickens classic about a man rediscovering the true spirit of the holiday season at noon and 2 p.m. The appearance is presented in conjunction with upcoming performances of A Christmas Carol at Geva Theatre Center taking place Wednesday, November 27 through Saturday, December 28.

All performances are included with general museum admission fees.
