November Performances at the National Museum of Play®

November 11 (Veterans Day): Get Ready for The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol

Enjoy a preview of two magical family favorites with Get Ready for The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol at the National Museum of Play at The Strong® on Friday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day of storytelling, dance, live music, and theater features performers from Eastman School of Music’s Sound ExChange (presented by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra), Rochester City Ballet, and Geva Theatre Center.

Enjoy a selection of songs from The Nutcracker by SoundExchange and an excerpt from the story accompanied by dancers from Rochester City Ballet. Get Ready for The Nutcracker is presented in conjunction with six upcoming performances of Tchaikovsky's beloved ballet, brought to life by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rochester City Ballet at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Friday through Sunday, November 25 to 27.

A costumed cast member from Geva Theatre Center’s production of A Christmas Carol will be on hand to read selections from the Charles Dickens classic about a man rediscovering the true spirit of the holiday season. The appearance is presented in conjunction with upcoming performances of A Christmas Carol at Geva Theatre Center from Friday, November 25, to Thursday, December 24.

All performances are included with general museum admission fees.
