Best of the Brick - Rules and Eligibility

Calling all toy-brick builders!

How to Enter:

  • Show us your creativity! Create an original interlocking brick sculpture. No kits, please.
  • Take a photograph of the creation with the artist (you).
  • Upload the entry and/or register to vote here between January 1 and 15.
  • The top ten finalists will be determined by popular vote between January 1 and 15. So enter early!

Win a $50 museum shops gift card!

Winners may be named in up to three age categories:

  • 8 and younger
  • 9 thru 15
  • 16 and older

Visit Strong through March 14 to see The Art of the Brick, an eye-popping exhibit of LEGO® brick sculptures by Nathan Sawaya.


Best of the Brick Contest Rules and Eligibility

The contest is open to all persons residing in the United States and Canada. All entries must be submitted to www.museumofplay.org. Parents or legal guardians of participants ages fifteen years and younger must submit that participant’s entry. The contest allows only one entry per person. In the event of a tie, the winner(s) will be selected at random.

The museum is not responsible for any technical malfunction related to Internet connection, servers, routers, or any other technical problem that may impact entry, participation, or prize claim.

The contest begins January 1, 2010 and ends January 15, 2010.

No purchase is necessary to enter or to win. All photo entries become the property of the museum and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entries that are determined to be fraudulent will be void. Incomplete entries may be disqualified at museum’s sole discretion. Duplicate entries will be grounds for disqualification.

The contest winner(s) will be awarded a $50 museum shops gift card. The winner(s) will be recognized on the museum’s Web site, and in publicity communications. Contest winners(s) may be asked to have winning entry displayed at the museum for a specified period of time. Transportation to and from the museum is not the responsibility of the museum.

Employees (including, without limitation, part-time or temporary employees) of  Strong National Museum of Play, contest sponsors, and the immediate family and other household members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, roommates, housemates, significant others, partners, and siblings) of each are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win the contest.

The museum reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for this contest. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash. Prizes not claimed within thirty (30) business days of being awarded, shall be considered forfeited and will become property of the museum.

Museum leadership shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and in the interpretation of contest rules. Their decisions shall be final. Entry into the contest constitutes agreement by contestants to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by the museum.
